I am not sure if there is much more I can do at this point other than just wait and see

I don't know if this would violate any index policy but it might actually be helpful to make a new request for the Lake Mary Fl to Jackson, MS transport. My reasoning for recommending this is that an email will be sent to pilots in that area when you do and I don't know that it ever happened originally since the first request was from Ala to Shreveport. That's how I was originally notified of the need as I was right in the path. I would not have known otherwise and I'll bet the same is true of FL based pilots.

You can leave the original request intact and submit a new one and explain that the delivery of the dog from Jackson, MS to you in Abilene, TX is filled so long as you can get him to Jackson today or tomorrow. Might even put urgent in the description and be sure to mention that this dog is an Iraq/Afghanistan war veteran. He deserves priority treatment and so do you. Hope we can pull this off and get him to you.

I actually just got a call and they are making a trip to San Antonio to take a load of dogs to their kennels there and they said they can put him in that shipment. San Antonio is about 4 hours from me so I can drive down and pick him up. So I think I am going to cancel this request. But I do want to thank everyone for all their help trying to get it going and if I can ever do anything to help let me know

Wonderful news!!

The way you can help our efforts is to spread the word about the organization and the pilots.

Many pilots here also participate in both Veterans Airlift Command (www.veteransairlift.org) and Angel Flights (helping civilians fly to needed medical care when cost of flying is prohibitive).

So do tell people in your circle of influence that our organizations are here to help. Especially the people and animals that stepped up and went out to protect our freedoms.

I have already told eveyone I know how great you guys have done already, so I will keep doing so with the added info
