If this trip goes thru ATL, I would like to ask if there would be room for a small 15lb rat terrier. If Bingo can get to NC, maybe Jon W can get him on another transport going to Fairfield, NJ. Thank you.

Sorry to be so late in marking this DONE. It worked out that all the stars aligned and Sonny and Hayes were able to meet this past Friday to get Chestnut home.
Sonny picked her up at ARA amidst media coverage and flew her to meet Hayes in TCL. Hayes then delivered her straight to Davidson Co. (EXX) where I understand there was more media coverage. It seems Chestnut Thomas even has her own FB page now!

Many thanks to Andy and to Stacey for their generous offers. Andy even called me to try to work her into his weekend schedule as a parachute jumping instructor. The way it got accomplished was so easy on the dog and we only needed two pilots. Any other route would have involved more pilots and a longer in-air time for Chestnut. Hayes wanted a weekend visit with his son in NC, so it worked our perfectly for all concerned.
