DONE: Aug 8 or 9: Nitro, WV to Washington, DC

Post by jrkey » Tue Aug 04, 2009 10:03 am

I need to arrange transport for a new rescue puppy from Nitro, WV to Washington, DC for the Basenji Rescue And Transport (BRAT). We have only five volunteers in the state of WV, so arranging a transport by car will be nearly impossible unless. Any assistance in getting this little boy (at least closer) to me would be greatly appreciated. I need to move this pup ASAP, so a transport this weekend (Aug 8 or 9) would be ideal.

I work at a facility without access to a phone during the weekday, but am available after 3pm by phone or email throughout the day.

Just saw this and my transport for tomorrow fell through (kennel cough). Do you still need this?

Thanks Steve. Where are you based?

I have an aircraft and a great forecast for Saturday morning. The sender and receiver are locked in, so it looks like this mission is a go.

KFME - KCRW - KFME I'll post some pics when I return home.

Sounds like you have things under control. I'm based just down the road at Freeway.

Many thanks to both Tom Bragg and Steve Shiver for all your efforts. Steve delivered this handsome little puppy safely and he's already settled nicely into his foster home. I'll post photos later. Again, thanks for helping make this short-notice rescue a reality.
