Great! I just sent the other rescuer an e-mail letting her know that when I got home from work tonight I'd work on this.

Jasmine weighs 35-40 lbs. She should fit in a medium crate. She has her health certificate, proof of rabies certificate and other vaccination records.
My cell number is: 859-338-3470 [has text messaging]. Do you have text messaging?

Are you Filing a Flight Plan?

I think there are two FBO's at JVY. Which should I meet you at?

Thanks Kevin!!!

Oh what is your ETA at Grand Rapids? And at which FBO should the person picking up Jasmine meet you at? I will get that person's name and contact info and get it to you.

If you prefer to do all of this via e-mail, my e-mail address is: [email protected]

Roberta,

Yes I text message. But I don't do it in the airplane, but I'll do my best to text you about an hour out from JVY. I'll be flying VFR, with flight following. So, I may be able to be tracked with Flightaware, but that's not always reliable.

I'll call or text you just before I depart. My departure from Z98 should be at 1230. We'll meet at Honaker Aviation.

I have a medium sized wire crate for your transport. She'll be riding in the baggage compartment. Chrystal will be riding in the backseat in her crate.

Arrival in Grand Rapids should be sometime around 7pm. We'll meet at Landmark Aviation on the south side of the Airport. Here's the map for Landmark (formerly Northern Air).

Do you want me to send you the info re: airport pick up in Grand Rapids tomorrow via e-mail or post it here? Also what is your ETA at GRR?
I've found a pilot who can get Karyn's dog to Joe in Nashville. I will see you at JVY at 3 PM EDT.

Everyone,

For those of you who are fairly new to PNP, we welcome you and thank you for volunteering! It also bears repeating from time to time that though it is generous of to offer pilots fuel compensation, if you have read all the selected guidelines and the FAQ sections at the top right of every page of the forum, you will see an explanation as to why pilots cannot accept these offers. Pilots also should not be asking for donations for fuel. However every volunteer pilot can utilize our 501c3 status should they so desire which is why we applied and were given our charitable status. We want to do all we can to help our pilots help you!

Here are two links to previous discussions on this topic. Thank you to all who work so hard together to help these animals in need!

Well...I had a response then it went into never never land of lost trons.

Anyway, make sure that you follow the other thread as we've been discussing the particulars of this flight there. My preference is that we communicate everything on the other thread.

The current plan is to meet at Aircraft Specialists at 3:30 pm. I may be there earlier as I have a 29 kt tailwind in the forecast. But I'm also may be stopping at Salem to get gas, or not, just depending upon my fuel state. If I stop in Salem, I'll text or call you before I leave there. If not, I'll text you about an hour out from JVY.

I'd expect the flight up to GRR to be about three hours. But as you probably are aware, I'm also stopping at Three Rivers to drop off the other transport. I should be on the ground about a half hour. I can call or text the receiving party before I leave. And it should be a 30 minute to 1 hour flight from Three Rivers to GRR.

We will be meeting at Landmark Aviation on the south side of the airfield. I sent a map before, so you should have that.

So, you could expect my arrival in GRR at sometime around 7pm give or take a half hour.

Thank you Kevin. I don't know how to join the other thread. But will ask Karyn if she will add me.
I've sent the receiving party in Grand Rapids your plane info and your cell phone number. That person doesn't have text messaging, but I said I'd call her when you are leaving JVY.

Roberta,

I've had tachometer failure. It worked fine last night when I came out to prep the airplane. But it's out of commission today. So, stand by. I've called Joe. He is aware. Please contact everyone else and let them know.

Roberta,
Plane is fixed. I expect to leave Z98 at 315. Expect to be at JVY at 515. Three Rivers at 730. Grr at 815.
It was a broken wire.
