Fantastic teamwork got these girls to their homes!
Thank you Sam Taylor for the Twin Cities to KC leg as part of your long RT to Canada and back.
It was a real pleasure to work with new member pilots Brian Beggs from KC to Hays, Stephanie Goodman from Hays to Denver, and Ron Krenzel from Denver to Gallup. They're solidly hooked on these transports now!
And thank you Kevin McCue for coming through once again, this time from Gallup to Tucson.
Thanks also to volunteer fosters/handlers Valori in St Paul, Barbara in Olathe KS, and Ron in Denver for overnight fostering and airport-airport transfers.
Getting these dogs to disabled vets home from Iraq and Afghanistan so they can help the guys have some measure of independence was truly a special journey by special people. I don't think I can say thank you enough times.
Now I can't wait for the photos!
Lynnette
Females Andi and Serdste
both age 2, raised together, well-mannered
one is 65# and the other is 70#
too large for crates that might fit most planes; seat belt harness required instead (crate would have to be 44"L x 27W x 38H)
These dogs are ready to go anytime. Volunteer will deliver to K21D or other airport of your choice. KC pilot also needed to meet Denver pilot half-way, approx Omaha area. The rest of the trip is filled.
A Midwestern breeder has donated these two to an Arizona program that trains service dogs (if they aren't already trained) at no charge and donates them to soldiers who were permanently disabled in Iraq and Afghanistan. These dogs have homes waiting for them, where they'll contribute to a vet's ability to live with some degree of independence. I'm pleased to work with this project and very much appreciate your help too! Best contact for me is email.
