PILOTS N PAWS

Two senior 12 year old chow chow brothers need to travel from Parkersburg, WV to Ft. Scott, KS. We are breaking up the trip into three legs. See the post for Leg #1 and Leg #2.

This is for the 3rd leg will get them from St. Louis, MO to Ft. Scott, KS.

The sending rescue is Humane Society of the Ohio Valley, however I am coordinating the transport for them. These boys weigh only about 39# each, despite their appearance with all that fluffy hair.

First two legs filled for this coming weekend...just a small flight will finish this transport.

Leg #3 - St. Louis, MO to Ft. Scott, KS was a huge success. The trip was uneventful and the two chows were very relaxed and slept most of the way. Funny, but "Bear" got up to look out the window when we started our descent--almost like he knew he was home while "Roscoe" put his head between the front seats to coax us on.

It was a great experience watching the faces of the new owners when we walked in the door of the terminal. New owner, Sherry, began to cry. Little things like this make the trip worthwhile.

We really enjoyed the whole experience and look forward to the next Pilots n Paws event.
