Hi,

There's a border collie in a HIGH kill shelter in Springfield who after 5 days, they put all dogs down, even if they have space available, so we need to get this one out. He can hitch a ride on a transport going Monday if we can get him to Terre Haute, IN or Bowling Green, KY. We'll be in Terre Haute about 10:30 and in BG about 1:15 if someone can help get this guy to meet up with us.

Well, it seems that the neighbor who owned this dog turned him in, saying it was his, and wanted him put down, because he was mad at his owner. So, looks like he'll be going back home, but if not, rescue has a hold on him so he won't be put down. There's more to the story since the owner has hired a lawyer, but not gotten their dog out of this horrible shelter, so I'm sure the plot thickens. For right now, we don't need transport and it won't be such an urgent case if we end up getting him afterall.
