There are 2 border collies that were to be put down tonight at 11:00 p.m. Eastern time. Eleventh Hour Rescue (couldn't be a more appropriate name) has said they would take them. The shelter can get them to Atlanta if that makes it easier for a pilot. I'm waiting to get their weights now.

I can volunteer to drive a leg from the Atlanta area if necessary.

Hi Karen,

Thanks so much for you offer. Don is going to do the 1st leg but if something changes, I'll definitely let you know. Thanks again!

Don will do the 1st leg of transport from Atlanta to around Raleigh, NC. This would be on the 7th Sat. or 8th, Sunday as these are the only days the shelter can get them transported to the airport to meet Don.

Thanks!!!

There is a little of 5 young bc/aussie pups in Rome, GA and the rescue has someone looking for a small dog and the one they want is also at Rome, GA. If we can get these guys to Atlanta (I'm looking for land transport) and someone can meet Don in Asheville or Charlotte or in that area, then the 2 adults can head north to their rescue in NJ and the rescue/foster home for the pups and small dog can meet the pilot around Asheville or Charlotte (she'll be coming from Piedmont, SC). This is 8 dogs that can be saved if someone can be the 2nd leg.

Looks like it will be the 2 adult border collie on this transport. If you can help, name a placea and I can check with Don and see if it works for him. These dogs have been in a high kill shelter for 2 weeks and we bought a little time because we had them neuter them, but they are talking about refunding the money and putting them down. Can someone help?

Thanks

Nancy, I can fly a leg of this to help out. Either NC to MD or MD to NJ. Let me know what you need. The weather for this weekend (6-7) should be great.

Nancy,

I can meet Don at JNX. We've used it in the past as a transfer point. From there, I can get them to northern VA. I'm trying to coordinate another transport that would take me to RMN. If that falls through, I can go almost anywhere in northern VA. I prefer to stay out of the SFRA, but can fly into it if necessary.

Marty, I can meet you at RMN if you have another transport going there. I've also used 2W6 in Maryland as a transfer point, as it's also outside the SFRA.
