TRANSPORT NO LONGER NEEDED!

Hello! I'm not a Rescue and I'm new at this, so please forgive me if I forget to add something I should.

I'm wanting to adopt a 4 year female (spayed) mini-Dachsie from a shelter near Tulsa, OK in Bristow. She still needs to be spayed, have all her shots, and get her health certificate; so, I'd like to know if transportation can be arranged for her for approximately three weeks from now. I'm told she weighs 8 lbs, and is one scared little girl. I'm told she is in good health except for being a little thin.

Please let me know if this is feasible, as I need to let the shelter know ASAP if this is a go or no-go. Here is the URL with her info:

Ruby (the Dachsie) is in Bristow OK 74010, so I also need to find someone to drive her the 38 miles to the airport from the shelter. I'm tackling the biggest hurdle first - the air transport to one of the airports here in Phoenix. I live 5 minutes from the Deer Valley Airport, which is the in the north central part of Phoenix and takes private planes. Scottsdale Air Park is only about 20 minutes from me. Chandler is about as far from me as Bristow is to Tulsa.

I can be reached anytime at 602.690.4126. Please let me know if you or someone you know can help get Ruby here to her forever home.

Thank you so very much!

Gayle, I am posting this for Will. He is a pilot who has offered his assistance to you for this transport. Please contact him at the email below or read the email I sent to you privately with his phone numbers. Hopefully, the two of you can work this out by combining either combining ground transport to fill in or another pilot! Good luck! Debi

I fly out of Deer Valley Airport and will be in the Fort Worth area in
mid-December. I could pick her up in Bristow ,OK, and bring her to Deer
Valley Airport on Dec 18, if that would help.

I can't figure out how to reply directly to the sender.

I'm posting this as an update as of 3:00 p.m. AZ time, 27-Nov 2009:

Communicated with Debbie, the manager of Paws, Inc. (aka Bristow Animal Shelter) to let them know that I have a pilot - Will Worthington of Carefree, AZ - who has volunteered to transport Ruby from Bristow back home to Deer Valley Airport in North Phoenix on or about Dec 18, which is 3 weeks exactly from today. Doesn't get much better than this!!

Spoke with Will this afternoon. He found a nearby airport - only 2.5 miles from the shelter itself - called Jones Memorial (3F7) - and will need for me to arrange for someone to drive the Dachsie to the airport upon his arrival. He will communicate directly with shelter personnel the day of his flight as to his exact time of arrival; however, I'll be managing the coordination of the transport to make sure all goes smoothly.

Not sure if I should post this as "DONE" just yet, but I'm sure Deb will let me know...right, Deb?

WHAT AN AMAZING GROUP THIS IS!!! You have brought tears of gratitude to my eyes and renewed my faith in humanity with a heart. God bless you all! :D
