This poor baby was found wrapped in a blanket laying in the driveway of the animal shelter after they closed. We have a wonderful rescue in Pittsburgh willing to take him in and get him the medical he needs but we just have to get him there! Can you help?? He is less than a year old and weighs about 45-50 lbs. We are pulling him from a shelter near Johnson City on Monday and can work from there. Please help me get 'Christmas' (his new name) home for the holidays.

I'm based north of Pittsburgh, and just sent an email to several trying to arrange transport for this Sunday.
Hopefully, we can work out the arrangements.

Keep me in the loop. I can stand by as back-up for the entire transport. I was going to do some work on the plane today and render it unairworthy while awaiting the rebuilding of some parts, but I can defer that work pending the completion of this transport.
I looked at the AOPA long range weather. Sunday looks kind of OK. Not perfect, but better than some other days. If it is cold enough so icing is not a big issue (such as just a day with snow showers) I'm good to go if needed. I cancelled one transport a few days ago because I would have been doing an instrument approach in altitudes which showed the high potential for icing.
I will keep monitoring the weather as we get closer and if anyone needs help on this let me know.

Christmas is safe in rescue!! Thank you Keith and Vicki for getting him safely to his new beginning! Thank you Jon for standing back up for this flight. You guys are awesome!!
