Requesting transport for a very small cattle mix dog from Hays, KS to Denver, CO
Sadly, this is a special case. Mistletoe, is a small cattle dog mix (approximately 25 lbs) who is a 2 year old male and was hit by a car last week. He was taken to the gassing shelter in Joplin, MO where he lay in her own waste and in severe pain for days.
A volunteer took him to Dr. Loden, a vet in Joplin, who discovered Mistletoe's pelvis was crushed. We found a rescue to take him in Wyoming, however, first he is being referred to a special veterinarian in Denver, CO for the surgery. Dr. Loden said time is of the essence and this pup needs surgery sooner rather than later.
Ground transport is not an option because of the jostling involved from car to car. Air travel is the only option for this little guy.
If there are any pilots traveling from the Hays, Kansas area to the Denver, CO area in the next week, please contact me. I'm sorry to put a time frame on this (I typically don't) but poor little Mistletoe is in great pain and in great need of surgery. We have wonderful sponsors who are paying for all his medical needs so we just have this one last hurdle to jump, which is the transport portion of it.
Thank you tremendously for your response and help.

This original post was from K.C, MO to Denver, CO but a pilot offered to fly Mistletoe from K.C., MO to Hays, KS on Monday December 28th and I am now just trying to find a pilot to do the Hays, KS to Denver, CO leg. If you are not able to fly on Monday, there is a vet in Hays, KS who does boarding and Mistletoe can be boarded for a day or two until you are able to transport him. Many thanks to all.
