Burns Flat OK is a kill shelter that houses the dogs outside! It has been one ice storm after another, but these poor dogs are surviving, due to Terry's hard work to help keep them warm. If you can fly this little lady or know of someone that can, please let Terry know. (Contact info below.) TU.

She appears healthy, just aged...She is fine with other animals...when she was running wild, we always saw her play with the other dogs and even some cats...
Her family moved away and just left her to run wild...She hung around the house for quite some time, then finally ventured off...

Your main sending contact is Terry Lynn at Burns Flat OK at (c) 580-330-1459.
Due to weather conditions, phones and computers are up and down there so you can also contact me:
Shirley at 302-786-2171 in DE but we are expecting 12-24 inches of snow here tommorow so please be patient with contacting either Terry or I. Do not expect you to fly during storms as we want you and our Roxy to be safe! Just need to get started lining up a transport as the shelter has been telling Terry, it is time for Roxy to leave!

1st time posting so please bear with me and call me if need be. Do not have dogs weight at this time but probably around 60-70 lbs. Also have pix if need. TU.

You may consider using the commercial airlines if this needs to be done soon.

United Airlines flies into Denver and I am not sure if they have a flight into/out of OK City or not.

You may also consider using PetAirways.

You may encounter some issues with temp restrictions. A letter of waiver from a vet may work to get around this, but ask the airline.

Sometimes going to a forever home, the new owner is willing and able to pay for the travel expense.

Please let me know if you have questions.

Thanks for the info Sarah, but Roxy has been flown to CO by a wonderful Pilots N Paws pilot Joe who went out of his way on a transport to pick her up and fly her to her rescue. THANKS JOE. We appreciate you! :P
