This is a transport for a German Shepherd dog named Ed. He was going to be put down, but he was accepted at the Healing Heart Sanctuary where he will have therapy. It's a 14-hour drive, a flight would be easier for him. If someone could fly him part way, he could be driven the rest of the way. It is possible he could be driven to a departure point other than Overton if that would help. Denver would be nearly midway between Overton and Kanab.
His story is here:

Re: Overton Nebraska to Kanab Utah
We have a kind offer of a flight for the first part of his journey, which is more than I even hoped for.
He may have to be taken by ground the rest of the way unless by a miracle we could get a second flight to take him further on. Since I do not yet know how far the first flight may go, I do not know where a second flight (if any) would originate.
Flying him all the way would be ideal, because he is down in the back. He can stand briefly but cannot walk.

Re: Overton Nebraska to Kanab Utah
The dog has improved and can walk (wobbly) but at this time the transport to Utah is still considered to be on.
Thanks for your patience!

Ed is now at Laura Bradshaw's Healing Heart Sanctuary thanks to so much help from this website.
Big, heartfelt forever thanks to gimble who flew Ed the first leg and then fostered him, and to n457ms who flew Ed the second leg to Utah. Warmest thanks also to whiskeymike who also volunteered for the first leg, and to sgemp1 who offered to help after her plane was done with maintenance.
