A man called about a dog who was left for three days tied to a stake in the
ground. His owners had fled and left him there to die. The man was poor but
would bring him table scraps to keep him going and did not want to call the
shelter because he knew they would put him down.

This kind man watched in horror for 10 months, the duration the man had this
pup and who beat him with a metal rod.

Benson was then picked and was headed to the shelter when he put his head in
the lap of the driver and looked up into her eyes. All he wanted in the
world was a chance to know love, something he had not found. What could she
do with that?

Please we need help to place him in a rescue. He is enormously friendly and
with other dogs as well. He would be fully vetted and transport fees paid as
well. He is afraid and swings away anticipating being struck.

Please I am begging anyone to help us or please pass this email far and wide
to others.
Thank you for any consideration you would give and
God Bless,
Jenna Gutierrez (864) 801-3177

I could possibly provide a leg from Winchester, VA or Martinsburg, WV to the Wilkes Barre, PA vicinity next weekend, weather and wind permitting. I'm based at Ft. Meade, MD (FME).
I am a VFR pilot, flying daylight hours only. How large is the dog?

Let me know if I can help.

Is this transport still needed, and could you get the dog to VA? If so, I may be able to fly as far as Lynchburg, VA to pick up the dog and bring him back to FME for onward trip to NY on Friday, if luvflying can make it that day. How much does he weigh?

Thank you all! I am awaiting a response from the "rescuer" as we speak. I know the dog was too emaciated last week to make the trip and they are trying to get a few pounds on her. I am new to Pilots 'n Paws but am overwhelmed by your generous response. As soon as I hear from Jenna, I will forward. And again, thank you all for your generousity.

Done: This baby got to a rescue yesterday. Because of her condition, she went to a special foster that would take care of her until she is back on her feet. Thank you all for your very generous offers, you touch my heart.
