I am rescuing a stray puppy from The Navajo Reservation in Arizona. through Operation Roger, I am able to have him transported as far as Ramsey, NJ 07446. He is due to arrive in Ramsey, NJ on March 24, 2010. There is a volunteer driver who is willing to take him to the closest airport. I am hoping to fly the puppy home to me in Maine. I am willing to travel to a convenient airport of the pilots choice. Phoenix, the pup, is around 35 pounds and is crate trained. He will have his crate and his health papers with him. He is a 7 month old mixed breed pup. Well behaved. Thank you in advanced and I hope that we have some success in bringing Phoenix home. Jacqueline Fanning
UPDATE!! I AM UNABLE TO MEET THE FLIGHT FROM RAMSEY, NJ, AT THIS TIME... PUP IS STILL WAITING FOR OPERATION ROGER TO TRANSPORT TO THE EAST COAST, FROM TULSA, OK. I WILL UPDATE AND REQUEST ONCE THE PUP IS CLOSER. THANK YOU.

It looks like there might be a chance to get two transports for one here. There are another two dogs that need to get up to Southern Maine from Savannah GA and one dog from Ramsey NJ to Waterford ME. I'm waiting to hear back on the first transport but I had proposed to fly to South East PA (N79, Shamokin, PA) and then to the Portland ME area. I haven't flight or load planned it but it might be possible for me to stop off in NJ along the way and pick that pup up as well. This may get a bit complicated but my days off are the 27th and 28th with the 27th looking best for weather right now. Is it possible for you two to contact each other and coordinate? I'd need to know all kennel dimensions and weights (and the weights of the dogs). I still need to measure my cargo area to make sure it will work. Knowing which cities each of you are in to pick a good midway drop off would help too. As always, the weather has the final say in all this. If someone could take the lead on scheduling and contacts I think we might just be able to pull this off! Thanks.

Greg

I am willing to drive to Portland, Maine to meet up with you, or anywhere else convenient for you. Phoenix is a 7 month old mixed breed who at his last check up, on 02/09/10, weighed 35 #. I am unsure of his crate dimensions, although it is rated for air travel. It is being sent along with him. I may be able to contact the Kennel in which he is staying at arranged by Operation Roger. I will try to get the needed information. Thank you, Jacque Fanning (Waterford, Maine)
