**DONE THANK YOU PILOT GREG** Medical cond~ shelter dog GSP

Post by Liza007 » Mon May 17, 2010 10:20 am

Sorry to bother you guys on such short notice, but I have a bit of a 911 here.

We (German Shorthaired Pointer Rescue) have found a dog in a South Bend, IN shelter that is in desperate need.

Aside for the fact that he is on borrowed time to begin with, he is in need of medical care ASAP. He is ONLY 40# (should be about 65~70) and he is heartworm positive.

We can get a volunteer to ANY area South Bend, IN airfield (KSBN or KEKM?) and we can get a receiving rescue volunteer to meet you in the Columbus area (KOSU?)

Please if you can, reply to me asap.. we are trying to find out how long we can keep him safe in that shelter, but there isn't a lot of wiggle room for a sick dog; again, the sooner the better

As I don't always receive notice that there is mail OR posts 'here' please reply to [email protected] and refer to 'GSP TRANSPORT' in the subject line.

Thank you so much for your consideration and thank you all for choosing rescue.
Sincerely
Liz Bondarek
(NEGSP Rescue Volunteer)

I can perhaps help, but unfortunately, I cannot do it this week at all. If you still need help next week, let me know.

Rich,
Thank you so much for your generous offer.. I have tried emailing you directly with no success.. it keeps telling me that it is 'delayed' due to no fault of you or me (weird)

If you can email me from another address if you have one, I would appreciate it.

Thank you so very much again, much appreciated :)

you get notified??? Holy smokes, I never do! Can't figure out why either.

Good news though, we were able to fly Sam out today (he is in the air as I type) so I am gratefully putting this post as 'DONE'

Thank you so very much for being my go to guy for next week! Your offer means the world to me as it's not always easy on the first try (WX, etc.)

PS~ KSBN.. FABULOUS
Atlantic Aviation people were VERY accommodating and VERY excited to see a rescue dog stopping by!

Definitely remembering that in my files!
