I need a back up plan--between weather, pilot availability & boarding~~ Continuation of this transport http://pilotsnpaws.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=7271
Nothing has gone smoothly. Molly got to NY Fri instead of Thurs (so she spent an extra night in Istanbul). Jerry started out Sat to meet Chris and ran into a bad storm & was forced to turn back just @ half hour from WV. Molly's been with a foster, but they agreed to a few days--never expected a week to go by. We're all anxious to get her home to settle in there until her mom returns from Kosovo in a few months.
So that's the story thus far.

Re: Molly ASAP
Thank you John!! Jerry's been working hard to help, but his schedule has been pretty tight and weather has been bad on his end when he is free.
Chris (from KY) is doing a transport Sat from Nashville,TN to Zanesville,OH and could meet there probably--if that helps.

It looks like my other southerly transports will be put off until monday due to lousy weather in the carolinas so I could possibly help out on this sunday since weather up north looks tstorm free. KCDW or KMMU (Morristown) for possible pickup points. I have no desire to fly into KTEB. I could go a little bit further if needed to say Clarksburg or Morgantown WV which would be a little bit closer to Kentucky (looks like that's where dog was going from the other thread).

Hi Steve,
We are shooting for Sat as Chris is taking a dog from TN to OH and can then pick up in WV from Kevin. Kevin would like to meet in Altoona or vicinity. (He offered to meet someone coming from NJ and then meet Chris in Huntington, which is Kevin's base).
But I guess you're not open on Sat?
Thanks,
Joanne

Weather around DC/NJ/NYC area looks a bit iffy on Sat. I am IFR rated, but some forecasts have tstorms, some don't for the area on Sat. I'm based just east of DC in maryland. The way the forecasts are looking, I likely wouldn't be able to make a sat flight call until sat morning right before I'd leave for the airport where I keep my plane. I'd be aiming for an 8:30 - 9am takeoff which would put in me at pickup about 60-90 minutes later depending on winds and ATC (which will be a challenge since I'd be flying inside the NYC big three airspace). The big unknown would be if the overnight tstorms move out in time.

Steve-It sounds awful iffy now from the other pilots this morning and REALLY iffy from your end at this point.
Thank you for your offer. There is a pilot in NJ willing to do this if the weather cooperates~but right now it's looking pretty bleak in all directions. I'd hate for anyone to run into the same problem as Jerry & Chris did last week with these pop up storms.

Yeah, it's a bit iffy...so I'd rather not try it for tomorrow. That being said, depending on how my other transports go, weather, and my upcoming annual I'm still open to helping out on the flight if my schedule allows

Molly left NJ this morning and will be in KY later today. Unfortunately Luke had a mid flight emergency with his electrical. Dick stepped up to reach them and Kevin and Chris will finish the trip.
Much appreciation to all the people of PNP that make these transports possible. And kudos to the following for their parts in Molly's transport:
Harriet Z, Jerry S, Chris B, Kathy B, Luke H, Dick S, Kevin O and those behind the scene who offered help: Robert C, Linda S, John L, Steve, Leslie V., Robert S and Bobbalu525.
