I will be at FXE between 7:15 and 7:30am. I will need to leave FXE by 8:00am. Flight time to KDED is 1 hour and 11 min - no wind. That should give a small amount of time for photos.

Dear Marty, The Chin will each be in a separate plastic carriers - four medium size to allow them to stand as they are all at least 10 lbs. One will be larger size. Shouldn't take much room at all as only five will be traveling. Thanks and please contact me with any questions as I'll be taking them to the first airport. Best wishes, Nancy

Five? I thought we were moving eight. Can you give me the measurements of the carriers? I thought we were going to use cat carriers. I have what I consider a medium size crate and it takes up half of the back of the plane. Are these carriers stackable? I might need to stack them if I can't fit them all on the back platform.

Hi Marty, I found out last weekend that only the five to CT would be traveling. The carriers are "cat carriers" that can be used for small dogs. When I say medium size it's for a 10-15 lb cat/dog. They are easily stackable. Since my last post the "largest" chin going who would have needed a little larger carrier was adopted and replaced by one who will fit into the same size carrier as the other four. When my husband returns later with my car I'll measure my crate that's in my car, and send dimensions to you. I apologize you didn't know about the cancellation of the other three. If you want to call me directly my cell is 954-240-2734 and home is 954-797-2923. Thank You! Nancy

Yes, we can overnight them if necessary. Currently, Steve and I are planning on meeting in Rockingham, NC where he will be picking up another rescue. If it works as planned. the entire trip will take place in one day.

Hi Jeff, I drove to Banyan today to make sure I'd know where I was going - thank you, I was able to get directions from the website you gave me. Where do you want me to go when I arrive - - I spoke to someone inside the terminal and they said if I had your tail number they could point me to where your plane is landing if I went and and asked, or to see if you just want me to wait in the terminal. Thanks! Nancy

Kim,

If Steve and I can connect ar Rockingham, NC we will transfer the Chins there. If, for some reason, that doesn't happen I'll take them to Chesapeake, VA where I will probably have to overnight them. Steve would like to get back to his home base by dark because deer are on the runway at night. The Rockingham plan would easily give him time to get home since I should be there around 1:00 - 1:30. Chesapeake will be problematic because I might not get there until around 3:00 - 3:30. That would put Steve leaving as late as 4:00. All this is still fluid because it is too early to get reliable weather and wind data. We will have a much better idea later in the week.
