Two young BCs need to go from Caldwell ID to Corvallis OR. The ideal time is Thurs Sept. 2nd or Sept 3rd. or 4th. It is a little flexible.

Hi, I might be able to help. What sizes/weights are the border collies? I might only have one medium sized crate.

Let me know, my nephew really wants to do one of these rescues with me so it might work out really well for both him and the dogs

Both dogs are pretty small. One is only 25 pounds and the other is more like 35 I think. They can fit in a medium crate. Even getting one of them would be great. I think I can get crates for them. If we can get them anywhere near Bend that would be wonderful.

Hi Anne,

Can you contact me via [email protected]. I can do this trip. The weather is supposed to get better tomorrow for the area so what I'd like to aim for is picking up the dogs (both of them) tomorrow morning, Sept 2, with Sept 3rd as a back up option. I can take them wherever you need them in Oregon, weather and tarmac permitting (no grass runways, sorry). I'm familar with the airport at Bend OR, Sun River, and Redmond OR, or, I can take them across the mountains to Corvallis.

I'm based in Shelton Washington but I'd like to get another PnP rescue in before the weather in "the icebox" of the great northwet prevents me from flying this winter.

Will September 2nd work for volunteers at both ends if the weather cooperates? Let me know at [email protected].

Hi,

Another option - that might work better because of better weather forecasts and the availability of another pilot to go with me - would be to pick up the dogs Saturday September 4th and then fly them to Bend or Corvallis.

I'll work on confirming coverage for my "day job" on this end, and see which works better. The 4th would be easier for me but I could do it tomorrow.
