CANCELLED - finally got the bassets up via ground transport.


URGENT 2 Bassets from Fairfax VA to Allentown PA

UPDATED! WE ARE TRYING TO GET BEAUREGARD AND MARIE UP TO PA 8/31/10.
A transport was found to drive them up to Fairfax Station VA tomorrow morning. We need help to bring them the rest of the way to Allentown, PA.

Beauregard, a male, heartworm positive, recently neutered basset hound, was pulled from a kill shelter three weeks ago and has a rescue waiting for him in Pennsylvania. He does NOT like being crated, but rides well in a car. I've tried to get him up by ground transport without success, and am hoping some pilots can fill in gaps along the way of the suggested ground transport shown below.

WE ARE FLEXIBLE IN WHAT AIRPORT WE CAN GET BEAUREGARD TO IN EITHER PA OR NJ AND WILL ALSO BE VERY WILLING TO TEAM UP WITH OTHER DOGS NEEDING TRANSPORT SO THIS IS NOT JUST A SINGLE DOG TRANSPORT.

I could pick them up tomorrow at around 5PM at the Leesburg Exec Airport and get them to Allentown (I would prefer the Allentown-Queen City airport KXLL) by about 6:30 or 7 PM. Will the female go in a crate? I have a soft crate i can bring for her.
