Arranged Thanks! Washington, NC to Gainesville, VA 9/18,19

Starving 12-14 week old shep mix female puppy abandoned on the road in NC, heading to Virginia German Shepherd Rescue foster home in Gainesville, VA. One Medium crate can be provided if needed. Puppy is extremely friendly and will have appropriate papers to travel. I am advised the closest airports would be in Manassas or Dulles.

I may be able to help. I have a Light sport plane. We just did a rescue mission. We are able to get a small carrier in my plane. If she is still small we should be able to fit her in it. The carrier we used is about 15" high, 16" wide and 24" deep. I can get a carrier a little bigger in there as well.

If needed, I could take a leg from Washington to Chesapeake, VA (CPK) & save you about 1 1/2 hours of flight time. My size constraints are almost identical to yours. Depends on your capabilities & requirements; I suspect a single leg would be better for the pup, but I don't know how well that would work for you.

Kurt,
That would work with me. I have two puppies I have to get to NY right now. I fly to Indiana this weekend. I would be looking some time later next week. Thanks.

Thank you for helping us. Will a crate 18 x 17x 26 work? If not will go buy something little bit smaller.

That size would be a bit big, but workable. A few inches smaller might be better, if it's okay for the pup. Kinda sad when an LSA has more internal room than a Certificated airplane : )

I can only do weekends. How's Saturday, 9/25, weather permitting?
