Filled 1 dog from county shelter to rescue 11/2

Post by deeogee1 » Tue Oct 19, 2010 9:12 pm

Phoenix Rising Border Collie Rescue of SC http://www.prbcr.org/ would like help transporting Hi-Jinx from Roscommon Animal Shelter 1110 Short Drive
Prudenville, MI 48651 Phone: 989-366-0260

Start of trip would be from Roscommon County-Blodgett Memorial Airport http://www.airnav.com/airport/KHTL. Fred can deliver Jinx to KSGH @ 1PM.
Destination could also be Asheville,NC where rescue has family to meet him.

Hi Jinx is 25 lbs of pure energy and intelligence. He is about the size of a Beagle but kind of on the thin side. Crate can be provided, if preferred.

I could fly a leg from Roscommon to down around the Dayton/Columbus area.

Fred--

What day works for you? There are 2 pilots who could possibly meet you in OH. One is open Sat and the other is waiting for a date to be decided.

Right now Wednesday during the day is open for me and the weather looks good. Unfortunately I am not available next weekend. I could possibly do Thursday too. It will take me about 45 minutes to get to KHTL from Lansing, and then about 3:15 to get to Springfield-Beckley Municipal (SGH).

So tenatively:
Leave KLAN at 8:30 AM, arrive KHTL 9:15 AM
Leave KHTL at 9:45 AM, arrive KSGH 1:00 PM

Optionally I may be able to do the transport one evening next week.

Fred,

If Jerry is available during the week, this would be wonderful for Jinx. I will post as soon as I hear.

Thank you!! :D

Just as a warning, there is a wind advisory for MI that is supposed to extend into Wednesday. Would Thurday work as an alternate? I'm IFR so as long as the rain isn't too bad, and there is no icing, I could do Thursday too. It looks like the weather should be descent in OH.

Sadly, Rob is only available Sat and Jerry is only available Tues.
If I can find a foster, Thurs might work though. :?:

Next Tuesday (11/2) would work great for me actually, if Jinx can wait that long. The long term weather forcast looks favorable.

Jerry was open tomorrow Tues and then he's out of town. I will change a few things on this thread to see if someone else can do 11/2 with you. Thanks Fred :) .
