DASH Rescue in Kalamazoo, MI, is willing to take a dachshund mix and 4 Chihuahua mix pups from the local kill shelter in Augusta, GA. We need probably two legs, one from Augusta, GA to somewhere in KY. The second leg would go from that point to Kalamazoo, MI. Can you help with this mission?

I would love to help. I live in Lansing, MI and I could take the second leg. It looks like Lexington, KY (KLEX) is about the half way point. If you can find someone to get the pups that far I'll take them the rest of the way.

That would be great. Did Chris have a particular day in mind? The weather looks iffy up here until Sunday. Did the pups need to be transported before a certain date?

Hi Fred and Chris,
I am not sure about anything at this point. I am waiting for the Augusta pilot to e-mail back, but haven't herd from him since he said he could do it on the weekend. I've contacted another pilot as back-up. I need to check with him to see what day he could do it. The dogs are safe in temporary foster, so at least we don't have to worry about that part. I'm sorry, guys. This other pilot has sort of left me in the lurch, so to speak. I will get back with you just as soon as I know something.
