Storm ravaged area Arkansas leaves 10 shelter dogs to die

Hi,

My name is Kim Morgan and I am an Independent Rescuer in the Chicagoland area. I had a desperate plea for help from a shelter volunteer in Clay County, Arkansas. The storms have made it impossible to get to the shelter animals which are housed outdoors in runs. Puppies have died while the survivors are very emaciated. The shelter volunteer was told by the county to euthenize the remaining animals. She is not willing to do that so they have granted her 48 hours to remove these dogs or they die.

I am pleading for help for these innocent animals who have litterally been through hell this past week. They have been left abandoned, hungry, thursty, uncared for and now begging for their lives. The 48 hour clock started this morning.

I am trying to find a fast way for them out of there. A ground transport takes one week to schedule and these poor souls are out of time.

Can anyone help???

The transport would be from (Clay County)Pigott, Arkansas to De Kalb, Illinois (2250 Barber Greene Road-De Kalb, Il 60115).

I am at work until 5:00 p.m. Central time. I can be reached on my home e-mail at [email protected] or my cell phone at 630-640-6556.

Thank you so very much,

Kim Morgan

That's outside both my territory and the time frame I can work with, but I hope someone else can jump in here.

Good luck!

Kim, Live in Orlando but I'm flying up near Littlerock AR but because of the weather and schedule can't get there until the 18th. E-mail Nancy in AL at [email protected] and see if see can help. Tell her you know me and to do the best she can. Tell Nancy I'll Fly them anywhere (within reason) and then come back and pick up her dogs! Jim Matthews [email protected] 407.491.0719 Good luck Kim!

Kim, it's actually [email protected] that Jim is referring to. If anyone can find a way to help you, Nancy and Jim can!
