Additional info/situation:

We have two hound puppy dogs at a foster home near Georgetown that both came from the Nacogdoches shelter (thanks, Alex). The 9-month-old (Rascal) is a tri-color English Coonhound with an outgoing personality. The 4-month-old (Starbright) is an American Leopard Hound who's a dedicated snuggler. Both are over their kennel cough and have had their second shots, and they're ready to go to Homeward Bound in San Antonio so that they can go to our weekly adoption events.

If possible, we'd like to move them this weekend, particularly considering that next week doesn't look good for flying. We're also looking for ground transport, but no one has volunteered so far. Sunday would be best, since the entire team will be at an adoption event on Saturday and no one will be available to go to the airport. If this can only be done on Saturday we'll attempt to find someone not part of our team who can pick up and hold until after the event.

The second photo is Rascal in a rare quiet moment. The first is Starbright with our foster mom's daughter.

If Sergio backs out I can more than likely help again, let me know Jerry.

Sergio, can it be a bit later? Our foster mom will be at church Sunday morning in Austin and will need to get the kids home and out of their good clothes, pick up the hound pups, and get back to GTU. I'm guessing that she can be there about 14:00. If it must be earlier, we'll figure something out.

If I'm slow to respond later today it's because I have a meeting in Round Rock. I'll check in as I can.

Thanks for the great offer!

I apologize for the slow response. I was away at a meeting all evening.

I am overwhelmed with all the offers of help. In addition, I've had an offer of ground transport. I THINK the ground transporter need to go anyway to take another dog (not one of mine), in which case that will make the most sense. I've asked her to call me in the morning to find out. If she's making a special trip to take my two, and if one of you is looking for an excuse to punch holes in some clouds, perhaps it would make more sense by air. It does look like Sunday will be the last good flying day for several days.

I'll get back on the Ride Board and report once I've spoken to the ground driver in the morning. In the meantime, if one of you is really looking for the air time, let me know and I'll factor that in.

Thank you all for the multiple offers. Hopefully Rascal doesn't reward whomever does the transport the way he rewarded Alex on the flight over from Nacogdoches.

Jerry,
My daughter and I will be flying back home from Lake Whitney (near Waco) on Sunday. Since Georgetown is on our path I decided to volunteer for this request. Do what is more convenient for you guys, if you prefer ground that's fine, if you prefer air that's okay as well. Let me know as soon as you find out.

Thanks

By the way, what was the reward Rascal gave Alex on their previous flight?

HINT: Alex's reward was very stinky. I'd recommend that Rascal be crated. Makes cleanup easier.
