Additional info/situation: Ellie was adopted to a retired couple in NJ. They decided to sell their house and moved to Canton GA about a year ago. The wife was diagnosed with breast cancer last year and the husband died unexpectedly on February. The daughter and her husband in that area dumped the dog at the shelter later in Canton. The shelter contacted Mid-ABHR after scanning the dog for a microchip. We had the dog pulled by the local basset rescue, who brought Ellie to her vet, who generously offered to board Ellie until this Friday. We need to get Ellie back up to NJ. We are flexible where we can meet a pilot, either in De, NJ, eastern PA.

May have a pilot from VA to NJ for Sunday. Can we get someone to fly Ellie from Canton GA to northern VA (pilot is from NJ and can meet at the airport of choice in northern VA).

Noel will let me know tomorrow if he can do this on Sunday... Thank you NOEL...

I am also checking with Tim to see if instead of Mid VA, if he could do Ashe, North Carolina... back to his airport instead of NJ, since he is going that much further south..

If I have done it right this is what it will look like in Skyvector... http://skyvector.com/?ll=34.2505470,-84 ... 74.5062560

Thanks Tim and Noel... will wait to hear tomorrow..

I would be happy to be backup pilot for this mission should the need arise.

Where this stands now..

If NOEL can take this flight tomorrow, he will go Canton, GA to around Ashe, NC...

Need Middle Leg: around Ashe, NC to Maryland area NEEDED

Steve will do the final leg from Maryland to New Jersey.

Thank you so much...

I've got some questions:
This is flight for Sunday, April 27?
Is Ashe, NC Asheville (KAVL)?
I am based at Louisa, VA (KLKU). Can this be a transfer point?
What is the timing for each leg?

Hi Frank,
I am waiting to hear back from Noel to see if he can do the first leg out of Canton, GA

Asheville, NC would be a shorter flight for him, so I am sure Noel wouldn't mind... Ashe is actually on the border... AirNav: KGEV - Ashe County Airport

Until I hear if Noel can do the first leg, it is still pending, unless another pilot jumps on for the first leg.

Steve said he could do the third leg... so this would be great if you could do the middle leg.

Let me check with Steve, we can always go ground transport on the end with whatever we will be short on....

Thank you so much,
Ann

Ann,
If the 2nd handoff was at KLKU, the first handoff could be at KHKY which would be halfway between KCNI and KLKU. If ground transports were needed, airports could be ones close to an interstate, KJQF (Concord, NC) and KRMN (Stafford, VA) for example.
It looks like the weather will be good all day tomorrow. I know that this is late to be trying to get things arranged, but I'm available all day. Right now though I'm going to bed. I'll check on this when I get up (probably around 6:30).
Frank
