Additional info/situation:
I'm not sure whether this is the proper way to post this on the Ride Board. This is two separate situations, but the destination is the same and the timing is essentially the same. They could travel on separate transports, or together, but the two shelters are close enough together that a combined transport makes a lot of sense.
Both shelters are open 10 - 6 Thursday and Friday, and open again on Saturday at 10. We can arrange ground transport to get from each shelter to the nearest airport, but have to take into account when the shelters are open so that the dogs can be pulled.
Destination would be 5C1 in Boerne. While we can probably get someone to 5C1 for pickup during the day, an evening arrival would mean more people are available to meet the flight. This includes Saturday, since most of our volunteers will be at a major adoption event at PetSmart in San Antonio that day. I don't want to ask a pilot to land at 8T8 just because it's close to the adoption event.
This can be split into two legs, if that works best for you. GOP might work as a handoff point. Please reply here on the Ride Board if you'd prefer to use the two-legged plan.
Thank you for helping the homeless animals.

Hey Jerry, I could fly this transport on Saturday arriving at 5C1 or 8T8, but I only have room for one large dog, not two.

That just might work out well. I have found ground transport on Sunday for the hound. so if you could bring the Great Dane from North Richland Hills we'd have it covered. Interestingly, our hound ground transporter is a Pilots N Paws pilot.
Both shelters are pushing to get these animals out sooner, because both are full. I'll therefore keep working on finding earlier transport, but at this point it seems unlikely that I'd find something before Saturday.
How do you feel about flying into 8T8? I know of a couple of PnP pilots who have been there and don't like it. The problem is that it's difficult to get anyone out to 5C1 before 18:30 on a Saturday because all of our volunteers who are available are tied up at the adoption event at Alamo Ranch. If you need to be back to San Antonio earlier, 8T8 is close enough to the event that someone can get away long enough to meet you (7 miles).
Thank you, Sergio!

Re: Shelter to Rescue - DFW area to San Antonio
I could fly late afternoon -dog pickup at 5:00pm at Fort Worth Meacham International Airport, arrival in San Antonio around 7:00pm is that works.
8T8 (San Geronimo) is only 8-10 minutes from Boerne, I've been there too. I am fine with 8T8 as long as I get there before dark, otherwise 5C1.

I sent a run sheet for Saturday in e-mail. Look for areas highlighted in red. Those areas need your input for clarification.
Thanks!
