Hi Heather, the total route you are requesting is approximately 750 miles. I can't fly the entire route, but if you could get the dog to Kansas City, I could do the final leg into Ottumwa. I can also foster in KC if needed.

I could take the dog from say Ardmore, OK to Bartlesville, OK.

We would then need San Antonio to Ardmore - ~300nm - maybe do it in two legs, and BVO - Kansas City (~160 nm).

Heather,

I could do a leg from Tulsa or Oklahoma City to Kansas City, depending on weather and when the trip is planned. There is also another dog trying to get from Texas to Minnesota. Any way of getting them together? Anyhow, keep me in the loop and I'll help if I can....Jim

Heather,

Sorry, I just re-read the other posts. It looks like you need someone to go from Bartlesville, OK to Kansas City. True? I can do that if weather plays nice with us.

(I'm the Ardmore - Bartlesville pilot)

From the e-mails and this thread, seems like we're trying to go for this weekend. I can NOT do Saturday, but I CAN do Sunday.

Also, Ardmore and Bartlesville were just semi-random locations I picked out. I'm in Norman, OK (OUN, near Ok City), so any other nearby options are fine too (Paul's Valley to Bartlesville, Norman to Independence, KS, etc.). I could even do the Dallas - OKC leg if Jim was willing to come all the way to OUN.

Russ,

I am flying another dog transport on Saturday, so Saturday doesn't work for me either. I was hoping to see enough people volunteer so that the poodle could get to Kansas City, then I could go the rest of the way to Iowa. I would have to fly my leg on Sunday or Monday/Tuesday so the pup would need at least one overnight somewhere. I don't think that Sarah is able to do the Kansas City to Iowa leg because she is moving. If someone wants to do the K.C./Ottumwa leg, then I could do the Bartlesville/K.C. leg or Independence, KS/K.C. leg on Sunday.

I think someone who is good at organizing or Heather needs to jump in here. Feel free to email me direct. Hopefully, we can sort this out.

Jim asked for an organizer- Here is what I see:

Denise can fly SAT-Dallas on Saturday
Russ can fly Ardmoore to Bartlesville on Sunday
Jim can fly OKC to KC on Sunday, Monday or Tuesday
Sarah is currently busy moving but could otherwise do KC to Iowa

I am based at Spinks in South Fort Worth and can pick up the leg from Denise. I can overnight the pup if necessary (my wife does that here locally) and get it to OKC or the Norman airport on Sunday morning ready for Russ (I believe he is based there).

What airport is best for Russ and what time on Sunday- I am an early riser and you can name the time. Do we have the rest of the trip covered between Russ, Jim and maybe Sarah?

Just let me know the time Denise- I will also be at the Houston Executive airport about 3pm on Saturday if that is better for you.

Since I'm based in Bartlesville OK I would be available to fly the Bartlesville to KC leg but am tied up until after noon on Sunday. Will this pooch be traveling with a crate and up to date health papers?

Here's the proposed route using a couple of the navigation sites:
