I was told about your amazing organization and thought you might be able to help me. I recently rescued a dog from a small shelter outside of Tulsa, OK(Kellyville). I am trying to get her to me in New York City. Lucy is a 1-2 year old bassett mix weighing about 45 lbs. She is healthy and vetted. I officially adopted her on March 25, and I want to get her out of the shelter and into her new home. I'm afraid the longer I wait, the less the chance is of getting her here. I've included a link so she can be seen. Looking for possible route and legs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You may want to check into commercial air travel. American Airlines flies out of Tulsa, and I believe that they charge $150. I did not see any direct flights. If you could get the dog to Kansas City, then Midwest Airlines has a direct flight and they also accept pets. Now is a good time of year for commercial travel for pets, before it gets too hot and there will be temperature restrictions on the flights. Good luck.
