This boy is about 40 pounds and recently neutered and fully vetted. He's a very gentle boy that needs to get to his foster home in Hartford.

What is your time frame for this transfer? Saturday's weather isn't likely to be flyable. Sunday might be a possibility, at least for the southern half of the route. It might be more problematic getting into New England.

Whatever day that works for you, is great. How far North would you be able to get, so I can look for a foster home in that area, and a pilot for that leg?

If we went on Sunday, I wouldn't count on getting much past my home base of Frederick, Maryland (FDK). Lancaster, Pa. (LNS) might be a possibility. If we wait longer, and I take a day off from work, I might be able to run him all the way up.

If anybody based at FDK or central to eastern Pennsylvania would like to take the second leg, that wouldn't be a bad idea, either. It would be about seven hours round trip for me to do the whole thing.

If you can do the first leg Sunday, I can run him up to KHFD on Mon.
Cherokee based KFDK.

Great news Chip and thanks SO much. I'm still looking for an overnight foster home for this guy and then everything will be complete. Can you e-mail me, so I can put your e-mail address with the other pilot and receiving foster home, so everyone knows the status of everything.

Thanks again!

Hey, that's great! Thanks. I wouldn't mind making that flight on Monday myself, but I'm not absolutely sure of being able to get off from work. Perhaps if it turns out to be a reasonable day to take off I can offer to come with you (or offer to take my Arrow, which might be a little faster if your Cherokee is fixed-gear).

I work at the airport (at AOPA), so it should be relatively easy to coordinate the hand-off should that become necessary.

Chip, how early on Monday would you want to go? In some ways it would be easier if I flew the first leg Monday so that we wouldn't need to board him overnight, but I wouldn't be able to leave work before 11:00, which would put me up here around 2:30. Is that later than you want to get started?

You can call me at home at (301) 663-3460 or e-mail me at [email protected].

Thanks,

Chip,

Can you please contact David and/or me? We need to confirm everything with everyone involved as far as what time, which airport etc.

I've got a farm, so I'll need to be back around 5.
I'll call Dave this morning.
