not sure if Rick is helping with this leg as well
by expanding his flight or if we need to include another pilot

Possibly picking up another small basset puppy on this leg.

I want to say THANK YOU to everyone who has offered to help. Luke has been with me since we pulled him from the kill shelter and is an absolutely delightful boy! I can't begin to tell you how happy I am that he will soon be in his forever home.

I'm not a pilot but if I can ever help with ground transport of temp foster, I'm more than happy to help out.

Chris

Hi Garrett, Is there any way you can fly a little east of Harrisburg PA? Washington PA is about 2:45 hour ride one way...I would like to get it under 2 hours one way so I can do the turn around in one day. thank you. you are welcome to call me to discuss..(908) 607-1895.

We seem to be pretty set for Saturday, other than the one leg still to be confirmed for Tulsa to Memphis.
Since I am not a pilot, would you all please veryify that the route noted is optimal for this trip?
Any other recommendations?
I'll also need to know approximate flight times for each leg and more specifics on the exact airports never having done air transport before.
THANK YOU ALL!!! You are heros to the hounds!!
Suzanne

Depending on the winds, KAMA to KTUL should be about 2.3 hours. Does Bernhard want to make the transfer at KAMA? If so, where? Also, please confirm that someone will pick up the dog for the Tulsa to Memphis (or ?) leg.

PLEASE NOTE:
Because we were not able to fill the one leg of this trip for Saturday, January 17th, we need to reschedule for the following weekend. Either Saturday, January 24th or Sunday, January 25th is fine with me.

Please identify if you are available, where you would be flying out of potentially, and the time it would take for your leg of the trip.

The second basset puppy was picked up in Kentucky and would be joining the flight at this time from the Lexington area.

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will reserve 1/24 and 1/25 for help between KLEX and KABE, 2:45 full leg time... I'm based at I68 in the Cincinnati area, I can foster paws and/or pilots for a few nites,if needed. Mike ([email protected])

Suzanne, and all the pilots who have worked to make this happen.

This relay could be a poster child for why a transport of this nature needs a rescue set up at the endpoint for every leg. Not only could some of the distance have been covered as originally scheduled, but in the likely even weather forced postponement of a leg the pup would have a safe haven while the pilots rescheduled the balance of the transport.

Rescues, please make sure on multi leg transports there are shelters or rescues standing by who can provide shelter for pups while trip interruptions or gaps get resolved. If the issues pilots face are not related to winter flying and potential IFR weather and icing, warmer temps will bring with them thunderstorms and squall lines.
