Request Map, where is it?

Post by Kirk » Mon Aug 23, 2010 11:51 am

Quite a while back I saw a post that had a link to allow pilots to imput their location and current requested transports would come up.

I had it saved as a favorite until I changed computers and darned if I can't find that link anywhere.

Would be nice nice to have that link as a sticky on the Pilot Talk board.

Thanks,

Kirk

The maps are at www.pilotsnpaws.org/maps

but....

Google changed the rules so the maps don't work properly.

Thanks steve,

The map does still help a bit to get an overall picture of what's moving nearby without spending a long time scrolling through posts.

Thanks for the info.

Kirk, Steve developed a program to automatically notify pilots of any new transport requests in your area. If you will log in, click on User Control Panel on the upper left page of the Board Index it will take you to your profile page. Under your profile, when you scroll down, there is a box to fill in the number of miles willing to fly. Fill that in and then click submit.

As long as your email allows you to receive automatic notificaton emails, when a request is made along your flight path, then you can click on the link in the auto notification and respond to the request. This is a very useful option and saves you time. If you have trouble making the change on your profile page, just let us know.
