Multi-leg transport request guidance

Post by val » Sat Jan 22, 2011 9:44 am

Hello, I'm looking for guidance on requesting a multi-leg transport.

From Marion, SC to Bflo, NY which is 525nm

Researching guidelines & posts that people are often asking for too great a distance for transport,
I should break this up into two legs.

Should I include a suggested midpoint location in the subject line or simply as "multi-leg" to the description so pilots are less likely to skip the request thinking I'm asking for SC to NY as a single leg or only indicate 2 leg transport in body of request?

Thanks for the help,
Val

Val,
Post your request from SC to NY as a single flight. Pilots along the route who have opted for the auto-alert option will receive notice of your request and those checking the board will still look at the request knowing they are in the area needed. This gives the pilots one place to reply & coordinate--breaking it up into several flights gets very confusing if a pilot can help, but needs to change the airport or distance. They are great at working out plans together :)
