SUS - Million Air - Spirit of St. Louis, MO

Post by Millionair » Wed Aug 17, 2011 11:21 am

Good Morning everyone,
I first found out about Pilots N Paws from one of our based tennants here at Million Air St. Louis. Being a huge animal person I was amazed at what he was doing when I saw his passenger, one very large old Pere whom the pilot was relocating to a foster home after his dog parents had passed away.
My second encounter with the group was a flight that came in carrying an American Eskimo named Bolt. Whose name is now Chipper and with an excellent dog mom, one of my girls here at the FBO who actually adopted him after seeing and meeting him in our lobby. :)
Long Story short, We are a pet friendly FBO. I offer .50 cents off per posted retail for Avgas to any of these crews that are with this group.
Would love to meet all of you as you do such a wonderful thing for these animals. Bless you all.

On a side note. Summer months. We had triple digit numbers here in St. Louis this Summer, the thermometer that measured the ramp surface was over 179 degrees. If these animals are not crated, please do not allow them to walk on the ramp. If possible, carry them or have lineserve grab a golf cart and drive them to the lobby or a grass area as we do.
Please dont mess around with this, Animals have paws not shoes.

You could always roll out the red carpet for them to walk on.

Excellent idea Steve!! LOL

Million Air: You don't say your name, but THANK YOU..

I always look for pet friendly FBO's that offer fuel discounts when routing these hounds in need. SUS is definitely a stopping off point for dogs and it's great to know you are there.

I never would have thought about the heat of the tarmac, so that is great to know! During preflight planning, I will definitely make it a point to call ahead and ask what your thoughts are.

Thank you for being so accommodating to 'our' hounds in need. Welcome to rescue!
Liz
