DONE!!marathon florida to phila pa or atlantic city nj
Re: marathon florida to phila pa or atlantic city nj
It seems we haven't heard from Cupids Child since the first post of this thread. Before we make too many more plans, is this transport still ready to go from the Marathon side? Has anyone heard from Cupids Child?

Yes, I spoke with her yesterday on the phone. She is the the new foster that is going to receive the dog at KACY. And from our conversation it sounded like she expected (weather permitting) for everything to go ahead on 3/7. However, she is not the sending rescue, so I will contact her and make sure that the sending party is all prepared for the dog to move on 3/7.

Great! In that case, let's all exchange cell numbers and tail signs then. Tom, it sounds like you are best in touch with all the parties involved, could you put together a summary with everyone's contact info?

Guys,
If Dave is still willing to take the LBT to CPK leg, I would like to beg off. I've been contacted by another transport and requested to move three dogs to northern NJ. This way we can move four dogs instead of one. I hate to let you down, but these other guys need to get to their new home too. I'll be glad to help with another one later on.

I have sent a private E-Mail to Dave to see if he is still available and would be willing to take the primary position for that KLBT to KCPK leg. As of this morning, I have not heard back but I will keep trying.

There's another option as well. I'm already meeting a pilot, Mike McGhee (mcskis), at KLBT who is picking up the transport in this thread:skyking wrote:I have sent a private E-Mail to Dave to see if he is still available and would be willing to take the primary position for that KLBT to KCPK leg. Perhaps he can take both dogs to KDMW (Carroll County, Westminster, MD) and then Tom could take a final leg from there to KACY? Tom, is that doable for you? I'll email mcskis and ask him to consider it.

I can certainly do the KDMW-KACY leg it works out with mcskis.

I have received an E-Mail from Dave and he is commited to another flight on Saturday and Marty's neighbor and friend passed away last night. The KLBT to KCPK leg is open.

I just heard back from mcskis and he's in. That makes the plan look like this:
KMTH - KTLH - skyking
KTLH - KLBT - bross
KLBT - KDMW - mcskis
KDMW - KACY - Tom N.
Do we have any confirmed backup foster shelters along the way?

This is my first PNP flight, so this may be a silly question but bear with me. Will the sending rescue be providing a crate for the pup to fly in, or do I need to provide one?
