San Jose to Seattle BEING TRANSPORTED NOW!

Post by toydogrsq » Wed Mar 18, 2009 10:12 pm

We have a 14 lb 14 yr old shih tzu who needs a lift to his new forever home from San Jose to Seattle.
We can also get him to SFO or Oakland airport. Reed-Hillview is also close.
Since this is my first posting, please tell me what other info you need. Thank you! [map:95101-98101]4346[/map]

Hello,

I'd be happy to help the little guy get into Oregon. I'm a VFR pilot out of Lakeport.

As I was saying (hit the submit button too soon) I can handle one leg of the transport if there's a pilot up north who could take it the rest of the way. The weather looks pretty "iffy" up there.

Wayne,

I can do the transport from San Jose to Lakeport. You can do Lakeport to Oregon or beyond. This way you don't have to backtrack.

Thanks Jeff, I'll take you up on your offer. Lets keep an eye on the weather up there and pick a day that works for everyone.

Fabulous - let us know how close to Seattle you can get and we'll drive to meet you (let us know where in Oregon, as we can more-than-likely drive to meet you)! The would be Mom and Dad! http://[email protected] If anyone can get him to Seattle - bless your heart, just let us know! I'm not sure how to communicate regarding timelines - but please use this board or our email and we'll work to coordinate on both ends!! http://pilotsnpaws.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1301 :D :P

I am at Independence, Oregon (near Salem) and could go to Seattle if that helps? Let me know.

Thanks Steve, that will be huge help! It looks like we've got all of the legs covered, all we need to do now pick the day.

Steve and Wayne,

Really glad we have all of the legs worked out. The forecast weather for the trip this weekend looks bleak. Rain in N. CA., thunder storms in Oregon and snow in Washington. I have no idea what your schedules are like. I will keep monitoring the forecast weather.

Thank you to everyone - we are so excited to soon have our little guy! Just let us know which day will work and we'll help out in anyway possible and meet you wherever you end up in WA state! :D To get info and see pictures of the little dude (Mai Tai) - check out other link: http://pilotsnpaws.org/forum/viewtopic. ... 4349#p4333

p.s. Toy Breed Rescue group just discovered that Mai Tai is deaf! He acts like he can hear (looks at you when you talk, wags his tail, gives kisses, etc.), but she says the vet determined he can't hear - neither could Beethoven and look what he accomplished! The poor boy seems to have been rather neglected for 13 years - but when he gets here he'll have a life of posh doggie beds, little squeaky toys, and yummy bones! :P Thank you to the pilots, you are awesome!
