Yes, I believe it is beneficial for the kids. It gives them an opportunity to try something new, that could eventually turn into a career. It can motivate young boys and girls, and encourages them to go to college. The kids sometimes ride along on animal rescue flights. It teaches them the importance of giving and helping others, by observing the vast number of volunteers who make animal rescue possible.
The airlines may soon be experiencing a shortage of pilots, affording more job opportunities. General Aviation has suffered dramatically for a variety of reasons. Many of us are trying to keep general aviation alive. At the same time, we are helping save the lives of helpless animals.
