That would be fantastic! What does "VFR" mean? Nebraska City IA is only 40 minutes from our dog - that would work great!

It is the Nebraska City Municipal airport. It looks like it is right off highway 75 straight south of Nebraska City. VFR is short for Visual Flight Rules...as opposed to IFR or Instrument Flight Rules. In short, it means that I'm limited in the type of weather I can fly in...no low cloud ceilings. Of course, some weather is prohibitive to any pilot, such as thunderstorms. I checked the weather outlook for 9/30 and it looks good, but I just want to give you a heads up in case the forecast changes. I should be there by 11:30 am on Sunday. The flight to Emporia will take around 1.5 hours...maybe longer if there is a headwind. Let me know what else you need to know. Thanks.

I can be available as a backup if needed. Im based at Beatrice NE, but Neb. City is a good pick-up point for me too. If weather does not cooperate sunday, Im also available on monday.

Thank you both so much! I am thankful that we can get BUDDY home & into foster on Sunday! What phone #'s should I use for contact in case of troubles on flight day? I'd like Kelli in IOWA to have a contact # for someone since she's not done this before.

If leaving Nebraska City at 1130am and 1.5 hours to Emporia, I will plan to be at the municipal airport Emporia at about 1245pm to watch for your arrival .
