Additional Info/situation: Dog just rescued hours from being PTS. We transferred "Cowboy" to a boarding facility, but just missed ground transport and there won't be another drive up for a week. Getting him to Petaluma would be great, but willing to drive to another nearby airport, such as Fairfield, Vacaville, Vallejo, Dixon, etc.
Cowboy is a very friendly, happy dog, who is great with people and other dogs. Good inside, but a little shy when indoors. Waiting for information about the 2nd dog; will post when we get it.

Thank you Bill for your message and offer for Sunday!

I want to provide an update -- It looks like we are on for tomorrow with pilot Rick. We are now planning to bring 3 dogs up tomorrow afternoon! Fingers and paws crossed that the dogs will be good travelers. I will definitely let everyone know once they are all safely up here with us in Sonoma County.

Harley waiting to de-plane.
Wanted to let everyone know that our three dogs were flown up to us today! I want to thank the people who contacted me to volunteer their help. We are very grateful to Pilots and Paws - all of you pilots - who help us to rescue these dogs!

Our second passenger, Harley, the Airdale/German Shepherd mix, is a sweetheart, easy going and great with everyone. He had been rescued from a shelter and then immediately abandoned at a boarding kennel for over 3 months. He was beginning to get kennel crazy, and lost a tooth biting on the metal fencing. He was a happy guy today!

Our third dog, a last minute passenger today, had been sitting in a kennel, waiting for months for transport to get to her new home. The woman waiting for 'Elsa,' a small German Shepherd, was in disbelief that she was going to meet her in just a few hours. She had tears in her eyes when she saw her new girl, and must be black and blue from still pinching herself tonight.

If you know of anyone who may be interested in adopting either Cowboy or Harley, let me know! They are both in need of a great new home!

Not sure how to load the multiple photos I took when pilot Rick arrived with the dogs, but will give it a try.

Cowboy didn't want to leave. This was the nicest place he had been in in a long time.
