Pls help Daisy & her baby boys from ACZ to CDW by 11/23

Post by 4kitties » Tue Oct 23, 2012 10:34 pm

Number of animals being transported: Daisy, a loving coonhound lab mix and her 4 baby boys (8 1/2 weeks old!)
Breeds, weight, age: Daisy is about 65 lbs. Each of her little boys will be about 12-15 lbs, so a whole lot of love!
Health Condition: Great
Heart worm Status: Daisy is negative
Vaccinations: Mama Daisy is current on her vaccinations. Babies are only 8 1/2 weeks so too soon for rabies etc. They have had their first puppy shots .
Health Certificate: They'll have for travel
Spay/Neutered: No
Special needs: It will be best if the pilots can provide a crate/crates for the babies, so we know that without a doubt the crates will fit in the planes.
Name of Sending Rescue/Parties: Pender Co Animal Shelter, Burgaw NC
Name of Receiving Rescue/Parties: Eleventh Hour Rescue, Caldwell NJ
Contact information (publicly viewable on forum): Leslie Eyster, [email protected] and 910-297-7446
Are you a 501c3: Eleventh Hour is a 501c3.
Additional Info/situation: Daisy had been pulled by a temp foster the day before she delivered her babies to get a HW check. She was negative, and to the temp foster's surprise, she had 4 beautiful boys the next morning while at their temp kennel. Mama and babies were not returned to the county kill shelter (Thank Goodness, they would have never survived) and everyone is thriving! Eleventh Hour Rescue has offered to take this entire special family. As soon as they can get to 11th Hour, the temp foster can pull more pups that are currently awaiting death or rescue or adoption in the county kill shelter.

For some reason, my photos of Mama Daisy aren't attaching to my post. Please email me at [email protected] and I'll email you photos of this stunning girl!

Thank you so much for all that you do!

Take care,
Leslie

Thanks Mark,

The family is ready to go and they have their health certs. Might be best to plan to put the puppies in crates- do you have any that they can use? Probably will be great if they can get in two crates.

I'll hope that someone will be able to pick up the first leg!

Take care

Hi Mark,

Hope you're doing well. Since we havent gotten any responses on the 1st leg and the weather is looking unpredictable at this point, we may need to postpone until the following weekend of the 4th (?) Would you be available?

Thanks Leslie

Super, sounds great! I'll try to work on getting a first leg flight filled. Hope you don't run into any bad weather over this weekend due to Sandy. We're expecting high winds and lots of rain here in Wilmington.

I'll update my post to reflect the final destination as ESN, since you can take them from KESN to CDW.

Please feel free to touch base with me anytime at 910-297-7446.

Thanks,
Leslie

Hello Leslie,

We can pick the dogs up next Saturday AM in NC and bring them up to Easton, if that would work for all of you.

Great Mark. We'll probably be down at ACZ at about 9:00 AM and be up to ESN around 11:00 AM, depending on the winds. Those estimates should be more refined later in the week. My cell is 301-938-2003 and my tail number for tracking on FLightAware.com is N229TT. Leslie, how does all this sound to you as far as having the dogs meet us at ACZ?

Sounds wonderful & thank you so much for your help! I'm so sorry for my late response this morning. I do hope that you won't have any bad weather from Sandy. Lots of wind and rain here yesterday and high winds this afternoon here in Wilmington.

Will you both have crates that the puppies can ride in? We think it will be best to seperate them into 2 crates, rather than 1. They are sweet, sweet puppies and very energetic when all together!

Take care, and lets keep in touch this week.

Its best to contact me either by cell (910-297-7446) or by email at [email protected].

Take care,
Leslie
