Additional Info/situation: :plane: Fantastic, friendly boy who has lost mobility in his hind legs finally has his chance at happily ever after! :D I can help by driving him from the DC metro area to an airport south of DC if that would help. We think it would be best to get him there with as few transfers as possible. This is a great opportunity for him & we're eager to make it happen.

I can probably make this flight as just 1 leg. My concerns are 1) is he calm enough to be belted in the back seat (he's too big for a crate) and 2) will there be someone at both ends physically able to help me get him into and out of the plane?

I just got chill bumps - thank you for even replying. Yes, he's docile & easy-going...fine with being handled since it's considered attention to him, which he loves. Yes, people on both ends willing & able to help. Human volunteer ride-along helper is available as well if needed/preferred.

We are based in Charlotte and will fly 2 dogs from Spartanburg to Atlantic City on Friday. So happy to stop to transport this one on our way back (1 leg) since we will be empty. We have our back seat removed and the whole rear area is available which makes it comfy for large dogs.

Just let us know.

Sounds like you've got the perfect transport. Put me on as a backup since I'm not available until the weekend anyway.
