Health Condition: Old, feeble but fit to fly
Heart worm Status: neg
Vaccinations: yes
Health Certificate: n/a flying in state
Spay/Neutered: no
Special needs: very old feeble dog
Name of Sending Rescue/Parties Merced Shelter/ RCCR
Name of Receiving Rescue/Parties: Merced Shelter
Contact information (publicly viewable on forum): [email protected]
Are you a 501c3: almost!
Additional Info/situation:

Very old feeble male cattledog has a safe place in Santa Barbara CA and we need to get him there directly as soon as possible, without the stress of driving for hours. He must leave the shelter as soon as possible as they are really extending themselves keeping such an old dog when they are over crowded. We don't know how much longer we can put them off pts. He has to move out as soon as possible. The shelter will help by getting him to an airport in Merced, Modesto or even Fresno.
Thank you very much!

This Merced senior needs to get out of the shelter and into a home immediately. A flight would be the kindest method of transportation.

If the weather holds in Merced, I believe I can, mid-day.

I'll be flying in from Oakland, so will need help coordinating with the parties on both sides. Maybe it's best if you give me a call at 510.277.2771

I do not have a crate, but do have a doggie seat belt (harness) that I use with my pup.

Jet - now known as "Lester" is enjoying a warm comfy sofa in his new home with his new Dad, settled in now, finally clean, well fed, getting a lot of love and attention. He will have a wonderful rest of his life and we are all extremely grateful to Pilot Dennis and Pilots N Paws for making this possible!

My pleasure. Lester was an excellent passenger and I'm so happy that he'll spend his retirement in beautiful Santa Barbara (so beautiful today that I just about stayed).
