I am available Friday or Saturday to fly the north half of this flight. Looks like West plains might be a good half way point.

I might be able to help out this Saturday (depending on weather), but I might not be able to fit the crate in my plane. If you can let me know the crate dimensions I can determine if it will fit in the space I have available.

Thanks for the replies!! I will see what size crate she can fit into this evening when I get home from work and also verify her weight.

Eric-You state that you could do West Plains, MO to St. Louis.

Bill-Which route could you handle if the crate would fit?

Thanks!!

I could probably do the entire trip as Eric and my distances to Little Rock are fairly equal, but I'll end up in St. Louis (where I'm based). If I can't fit the crate in my back seat, it is unlikely that I can get it into the plane as the baggage door isn't that big and the seat can't come out. My usual mode has been to s]put some blankets in the back seat and let the dog just lay there while my co-pilot keeps them in the back seat.

We might just consider that option Bill!! I would feel more comfortable if she was somehow tethered inside the plane just in case someone opens the door after landing and she got the urge to dart out. She is VERY fast! I will also look at the crates tonight and see how small we can go. Does the weather look favorable for flying this weekend??

Thank you both so much for responding to this plea so quickly!

The only thing that looks uncertain right now are the ceilings and we won't know until pretty much the last minute if they are problematic as I only fly VFR and have to stay under the clouds. We'll have to watch the weather and see how things change as we are still 3 days out.
