As per a pilot's recommendation, I am checking to see if a smaller cage/carrier is possible.

Thanks,
Paula

The folks in WI found a smaller cage: 24 w x 27 h x 36 l

The folks in WI are getting desperate to get this eagle moved as they have incoming birds for rehab and need the space.

Many thanks,
Paula

I'm still available for a leg from East of Chicago to mid Ohio on a VFR day. I'm available pretty much anytime with about 24 hours notice. I'd really welcome the opportunity to participate in this transfer.

Weather permitting, we would probably be able to do the leg of Madison to Chicago if still necessary Saturday or Sunday. Let us know if you need the help!

Is this flight in the cards for this weekend? I see that we could get the Eagle to Chicago and another pilot can do Chicago to Ohio... anyone beyond Ohio? Just trying to plan accordingly!
Thanks for the update!

rsjackson644 & kevin182- I have a pilot based at 2W5 who will fly to KZVV to pick up eagle. The WX on Sunday looks good for the 3rd leg, Saturday does not. Sunday does not look good for either of you in my opinion. Whether the transport comes off this weekend or later, we need to decide the stops for this flight. jsjackson644, how far east can you go? kevin182 can you bring the eagle to KZVV? Also, kevin182 needs to arrive at KZVV by 1530 local so the pilot can get back over the mountains before dark. Call me at 301-523-1444 if you want to talk this out. -Wes Hughes, archerpilot

Just a couple of things on this:

1. Because of the length of the trip, we would need to push my pick up point about 60 miles to the East. Say to Elkhart or Goshen, IN. That will drop my flight time from 5.5 hours to about 4.2.

2. Weather is a concern and at this point would create a no-go situation.

Trips in the Midwest and of this distance are a challenge in the winter. Our availbility is restricted to weekends. Sorry the weather didn't cooperate this weekend.
