HI Folks, We have a young blind yellow lab mix that we are trying to get to a rescue in the Troy Michigan 48007or Pontiac Michigan 48340area. If we can't get him out of here he will be euthanized. He is very sweet and loving. We believe it is a congenital problem. He is approx 35-40 lbs. Will get an exact wt. Will be utd on shots, flea and tick prevetnatice. He is currently in Murray Ky 42071 but we can get him to an area near here if needed. Thanks so much!! Shari

UPDATE young blind dog - Murray KY - Cinncinnatti or Dayton

Post by Furryfriendrescuer1 » Wed Jun 17, 2009 1:29 pm

We are really trying to get this boy to MI this wknd & are having no luck getting him all the way to MI. If possible a ride to Cincinnati or Dayton would be GREAT as it will cut our drive time down approx 5 hours in one way or 10 hours for a round trip drive. If you can help with OHIO - KY PLEASE contact Kat in KY at: [email protected] or 270-293-5544 or Tammy in MI at: [email protected] 734-395-8242 Thank you, Jackie

A Blind and Heartworm + yellow lab is in need of transport from Murray, KY (SW KY) to Michigan. Murray has a small airport that pilots have flown out of before to transport dogs. Another airport within driving distance are Nashville (about 2 hrs away). He has been accepted into Best Buddies Pet Rescue in Oxford, MI and needs to fly there ASAP to begin receiving HW treatment. He is currently in a Hi-Kill Rural Shelter in Murray, which is a capacity at all times. DUFFY will be bathed prior to flying and has had flea/tick Frontline on 6/15/09, been dewormed 6/15/09, and will have a health certificate and rabies vaccination before flight. Duffy is a young lab, friendly, underweight, he weighs 40 lbs, is sweet, loves stuffed toys and is BLIND and HW +. Please contact Kat, Friends of the Shelter Coordinator if you can help. He needs to go QUICKLY so that he can begin HW treatment and get out of the shelter. Contact number is 270-293-5544 and email is [email protected] or [email protected] or Tammie at info in above post. We need this ASAP.
