I just joined PNP. After searching through discussion threads, I haven't seen anything regarding advertising at a vet's office or perhaps even at Pets Mart for fuel donations.
Hi Dawson and thank you for joining PNP. There are very strict regulations by the FAA regarding soliciting for funds for fuel or any kind of reimbursement . Recently they have extended a few waivers to a couple of public benefit flying groups who fly patients however the guidelines etc are intensive and another animal rescue org that appilied for a waiver was denied. The requirements alone are extremely complicated.
As Rich pointed out Pilots N Paws became a 501c3 in order for our pilots to be able to claim a portion of their flight expenses as a donation per the letter issued to us by the FAA. All that is required is that the request for transport and the acceptance reply must be posted on our forum board under the animals needing transport section.
You can also find conversations on this topic forum by searching under the 501c3 topics.
We welcome people sharing about what we do at events and have brochures available for use. Our name is trademarked so we suggest contacting us prior to an event. Hope all this information is helpful and thank you so much for joining our mission,
