Additional Info/situation:
What a storybook case! This pup was scheduled for euthanasia at just 4 months of age on the day he was pulled from a St Louis kill shelter. After a couple months with very good fosters in MO and KS, he made it the rest of the way into rescue in AZ, where further evaluation and the search for his permanent home began. A lot of people applied to adopt but he is simply too much dog for the typical family. His need for exercise and mental stimulation makes for a poor couch potato and without a job to put all that energy into, he'd surely be getting into trouble regularly and risk being turned in to a shelter once again. But then, 7 weeks later his ideal person came along, a wildlife biologist who was immediately crazy about him and excited about the suggestion that he'd make a great detection dog. They'll be together all the time, working in the field on research projects. Perfect! They can begin team training soon. Many wonderful people have helped this kooky youngster on his life's journey so far; all that's needed now is one more special person for the final chapter-- a pilot for the transport from Tucson to Farmington NM. He is sooo ready for a home of his own and can travel any day. RYN or AVQ to FMN is just 299nm. Thanks for any help getting him there.

I'm planning to fly from Phoenix to Ft. Collins CO on September 6th. I would be flying right over Farmington and could make a stop there. Let me know if the dog still needs a ride and you can get him to the Phoenix area.
