This trip originates out of the Smithfield (KJNX) / Goldsboro (KGWW) area in NC.
I'm available either Saturday or Sunday to cover the NC -> VA leg and plan on picking up the dogs +- 7:30AM. If we are airborne for VA by 8 that would put us in the XSA area +- 9:30. Exchange point could be XSA, JGG, FYJ, etc.

I might be able to make that run from XSA to EEN on Sat.

Hi Nina:
Thanks so much for jumping in an offering to help with this transport.
By chance is Sunday an option for you? I've started to look at the weather more closely and Saturday's early morning forecast in the RDU area is on a slippery scale. I need to be airborne as early as 6:45AM in order to reposition to pick up the dogs per the schedule mentioned above and our forecast shows a good chance of morning thunderstorms. Sunday looks like a safer bet (at the moment), although we could face some early morning ground fog. Either way, if you are coming down all the way from KPOU, would your preference be to meet an hour (or two) later in the morning?
Let me know and thanks again -
Rick

Absolutely no can do Sunday. I can plan to arrive XSA by 10:30. The forecasts ought to be better tomorrow. Have you heard from ground support?

Hi Nina -
Let's plan on Saturday. I've just sent a note to Joy @ http://rufcreekranch.com/ and Lisa @ http://www.rosemontlabradors.com/ in NH for an update. I've made a number of rescue flights for both groups.
Would you send me a PM with your phone number, email address, tail number and TAS for flight planning purposes? I'll start putting together a flight sheet with everyone's contact info.
Look forward to working together -
Rick

If you don't mind, I'd rather do email because PM is harder on my phone.
Send me an email and I'll give all the info

I guess these two big dogs won't fit in my cages. I can tether one in my baggage compartment. Not sure how to tether one to the backseat. Any suggestions?

Joy usually provides harnesses and leashes for the dogs. My understanding is they are friendly / can travel together / crating is not a requirement.
Transporting one dog in the baggage area and the other tethered on the back seat sounds like a plan. I use a "seat belt loop" (available at most pet stores) .... you slide the seat belt through it and then it clips onto the harness. You are welcome to take mine and mail it back at your convenience (it will fit in a small padded envelope).

Hi, Rick and Nina -
Thank you so much for offering to help us with Fuzzy and Ella. They're not really big dogs, maybe 45 - 50 lbs. Fuzzy will fit in a medium sized crate. Ella is a sweetheart who will ride tethered with no problems.
If we can do a Smithfield (KJNX) departure instead of Goldsboro, I can plan on being there and supplying the harnesses and a medium-sized soft-sided crate for Fuzzy. I'll switch to email from here --- I need to include the fosters for the dogs, and they are not on PnP. Again, thank you so much for all of your help!
