Pilot in Cypress, NW suburb of Houston

I've just registered. Fly out of Weiser Airpark in Cypress, West Houston and Hooks also easily available. Usually fly rental Piper Warrior. Weekends are best because of work, VFR only right now. Am "owned" by a couple of rescued Great Pyrenees, so as long as we can work things out to fit on the plane, size of a dog is not a problem for me.

This is great! There are so many in desperate need in the Houston area!
What is your flight range for puppies/dogs headed for Colorado?

Right now, because I rent, something around 200 miles would be my limit. Unfortunately, can't afford to spend thousands (which longer flights could easily cost) even though the cause combines 2 of my favorite things - flying and pups. Hopefully that will change...

I look forward to a long rewarding relationship with PnP! Thanks!

Would you be able to fly a large breed... 75 lb... st bernard mix to Dallas to connect with Denver transport this weekend or next?

Sybil,
I wish I could. Plans this weekend, & unfortunately, I can't get a plane for a block of time - not available - next weekend. As I say, I'm trying to work on that aspect of it. Please keep me posted on that one if you can, though. That way, I'll know whether to keep checking to see if a plane gets free.
Thanks,
Susan

I've just found I can't rent where I usually do - no pet policy. I'm working on another way. Until then, would happily copilot - navigate for someone else. Will post again when I get something worked out.

Apologies,
Susan

Good Morning
I'm in Austin TX trying to retrieve a 50# wheelchair dog + gear from Indianapolis area this weekend. Sender may meet us in Louisville, Nashville or Memphis. I'm tying to arrange as few legs as possible and minimize my drive time. I'm also IFR SEL rated 450+ hrs, though not current

Wish I could help you out, but tied up this weekend and without a "pet friendly" plane.

Best to you - all who aid in rescues are truly doing God's work!
