N20223 Passed 2,000 Rescue Animals Flown

Abandoned No More Rescue, run by daughter/mother JL Maas and Lynn Terrell regularly transport a cargo van-full of unwanted Texas pets to Minneapolis, MN for fostering and eventual adoption. Jennifer drives from Houston, TX with a loaded van, then transfers them to home-stretch driver Chris Fahlstrom. Jennifer had a drive February 9, but her mom in Hondo, TX had five pups and a cat that needed to catch that transport.

Solution: animal hauler Cessna Cardinal N20223

Friend Andy Goodreau and I departed Pearland Regional in Hourton at 7 a.m. that day.  After a quick stop at New Braunfels TX Regional, we made the pickup at South Texas Regional in Hondo for a connection with Jennifer at David Wayne Hooks Memorial Aiport in Houston.

The Hondo Six joined 15 other rescue animals already crated in the cargo van, and Jennifer hit the road.  All arrived safely in Minneapolis the next day.

With that load, N20223 passed 2,000 rescue animals flown since February 2012.  She’s now at 2,002 souls flown and saved.  And still counting.
